Foto Friday: Picnic Alongside a British Canal

Canals were imperative to the industrial revolution in Britain. The development of an integrated canal system meant that goods could easily and efficiently be transported at a time where horse drawn carriage was the norm. Today, these canals are still lined with canal boats. Some are used as house boats while other ferry tourists along for a relaxing cruise.

This was our mini adventure today, what was yours? Note: The picnic was today, some of the other pics were taken a while back.

Happy and safe family travels.
